Dye Yellow with Osage Sawdust

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Largo Public Library
Adult Program Room

Event Details

Learn about natural dyeing and dye a piece of fabric yellow with osage. The great thing about natural dyes is that they can be darkened and layered to produce different colors so if you aren't a fan of yellow, we can modify the color to something you do like. There are a variety of ways that fabric can be wrapped, twisted, clamped, and stitched to create white patterns on your fabric, and in this series you'll eventually get to try them all!

It may be possible to dye other items as long as they are made from natural materials like cotton, linen, wool, or silk. However the items would need to be brought in the week before they class to prepare them for dyeing.
